Most of the clever money is invested in Linux.
So what is the point of buying into small minority
interest software like windopws with swiss cheese
security? What is the purpose in furthering use of windopws
or learning windopws if no one can get a high tech job with it
after leaving university with £50,000 debt? Universities and colleges
should only use Linux and teach with Linux,
live with Linux, breath with Linux.
All the Linux companies put together are worth more
than Bwanks and bwahahahakers in the City.
They have no idea they are worthless compared to learning Linux
to make more money than they ever can.

No proprietary OS has a chance, against the freedom and flexibility of
FOSS. The world can't wait while some company has their meetings and
makes their plans and, eventually, releases their product - a product
that will inevitably be a compromise solution, at best.

With FOSS, companies are free to go where they want, and experiment.
Alphas, betas, refining as they learn.

That would not be a bad idea. People will get Windows experience
almost inevitably, so using an alternative will help expand young
minds.

Of course, "Hadron" argued the opposite. He claimed that it was
"bordering on the criminally insane" to use anything but "the
standard" in schools. That's right, let's have our schools crank-out
sheep who have no experience with anything but Micro$oft products.

As if "Excel skills" are *so* much more prized, in the market, than
are "spreadsheet skills". As if having a well-rounded education isn't
more important than experience with a specific piece of software.

Amazing idiocy, but what else would one expect, from a M$ shill.

Chromebooks are big in the K-12 market. That's a good start.
